AN EYE-CATCHING, engaging and effective online presence has placed 25 local companies to the fore in the first-ever County Carlow Web Awards and Butler’s Organic Eggs came out on top as winners of “Best Consumers Services Website” 2022
Carlow County Council and its Local Enterprise Office, in association with ***The Business Post***, Content Plan, and SETU Carlow announced the finalists for the very first Carlow Carlow Web Awards, which were held on Monday 7 March in Ballykealey House Hotel with Colm O’Regan as MC. The awards were held in conjunction with Local Enterprise Week 2022.
“We were delighted to receive the award at the fabulous Ballykealy House Hotel. It is always a pleasure to catch up and share ideas with other local entrepreneurs. Our local enterprise office has been extremely helpful to our business, providing training & education, mentors and much more to us over the past few years. Thanks to Carlow LEO for giving us the opportunity to showcase Butler’s Organic Eggs on many occasions” commented Paula Butler, Butler’s Organic Eggs.
Following 50-plus entries, the finalists were shortlisted to 25 companies, with seven awards presented with a shared prize fund of over €10,000 as well as receiving a specially commissioned trophy. All finalists were featured in ***The Business Post***during March as part of the competition.
The awards acknowledge and promote Carlow-based SMEs that have developed digital and web marketing platforms as part of their product offering. The awards were open to recipients of trading online vouchers and SMEs with less than ten full-time employees based in the county.
“I was delighted to host the first-ever County Carlow Web Awards and I’d like to congratulate the companies, over 50 of them, for putting themselves forward for judging, our 25 finalists and winners who I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing more about their enterprises in Ballykealey during Local Enterprise Week,” said Cllr Fintan Phelan, cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council.
